Description
I've put together a gradient set of 12 hand dyed mini batts in the 'Fizzy Fish' colourway. I dyed four pans of 23 and 21 micron Merino wool and Tussah silk with bright pastel dyes especially for this set.
Each batt contains: 80% Merino wool, 15% Tussah silk, and 5% Mulberry silk noil.
Each batt weighs 25g (0.88oz) and has been carded by me on my manual drum carder.
You will receive a set just like the one pictured.
The 12 batts will come presented in an opaque glassine paper bag.
Total fibre weight: 300g (10.5oz) 12 x 25g (12 x 0.88oz)
Please take care when soaking your finished hand spun yarn. Soak your yarn in room temperature water with a mild wool wash. I've used neon acid dye for some of these batts (and for the silk noils) and they do tend to bleed in the soak.
These batts are also suitable for wet felting and needle felting.
