Description
A rainbow of twelve little batts made with a scrappy mix of Merino, Shetland, Rambouillet, Cormo, and Bluefaced Leicester remnant wools, hand dyed mohair fibre, Tussah and Mulberry silk, and recycled sari silk fibres. These batts may also contain unidentifiable fibres (I think I saw llama and camel in the mix but I can't be sure)
Each batt has been run through the carder twice. Some batts may contain more of one particular fibre (some may have more Merino, others may have more Shetland)
Each batt weighs 25g (0.88oz) and has been carded by me on my manual drum carder.
You will receive a set just like the one pictured.
The 12 batts will come presented in an opaque glassine paper bag.
Total fibre weight: approx 300g (10.5oz)
Please note. These fibres are a mix of hand dyed and commercially dyed fibres. Take care when soaking the yarn you spin from these fibres. Soakb your yarn in room temperature water with a mild wool wash. Some dye may bleed. Neon dyes bleed a lot (even after they've fully exhausted in the dye bath and the water has run clear in the soak. It's the nature of the neon). These batts are suitable for wet felting and needle felting.
