Description

These braids are my attempt at recreating a 'Leftovers' colourway. (they're also an example of why Leftovers colourways are one of a kind!)

I've named this colourway 'Halfmoon Betta' after the colourful frilly fish. It's a vibrant gradient of neon and normal oranges, neon pink, lilac, lavender, powder blue, vivid blue, aqua, mint, olive green, and tobacco brown. Dyed by me on a base of 21mic Merino wool top.

This colourway would work well teamed up with my 'Rainbowfish' batts.

This Merino top/roving is suitable for felting and spinning.

You will receive a 100g (3.5oz) braid like the one pictured.

  • Fibre: 100% 21 mic Merino
  • Type: Combed top (Roving)
  • Colourway: Halfmoon Betta
  • Weight: 100g (3.5oz)

My hand-dyed combed fibres are suitable for beginners and experienced spinners, and are ideal for needle felting and wet felting.

Please note:

After dyeing the wool, and my fibres have cooled, they are rinsed in room-temperature water to remove residual citric acid and to check for colourfastness. Exposure to hot water may cause some colour release (this is normal). To help preserve the colour, always wash finished wool projects gently in room-temperature water using a mild wool wash. Avoid hot water and agitation, unless you want your fibres to felt.
