Fibres: Rambouillet wool, Cormo wool, Punta Arenas wool, alpaca fibre, Tussah silk, and Mulberry silk noil.
Colourway: white, pale lilac, blue, gold
These curious little batts are a mix between a batt and a braid. They're batts I've carded, but I've dyed them like I would a braid.
There are four available in each colourway. They've taken the dye in different ways so they're not identical. Some have more dye on the top (where it's more silky) and others have most of the dye at the base.
They're better suited to the adventurous spinner and spinners of chunky art yarn.
These are a first for me so they're my weird little experiment. There are white patches where the dye didn't make it through the fibres, especially the mulberry silk noil.
They're single carded batts so the fibres have only been mixed once, but all the different fibres have been regularly layered throughout the batts.
Each batt weighs 25g (0.88oz)
They've been dyed using my leftover dyes, and colourways are not repeatable.
Please note: They contain Mulberry silk noil which is a waste product from the silk spinning industry. The noil will contain bits of cocoon and may also contain non silk threads.
