Description

**This batch is the same 'Glass Catfish' colourway with the same colours, but I started with the wrong colour. This is Version 2.

Dyed on a braid of soft 70% 23 mic Merino wool and 30% tussah silk, 'Glass Catfish' is a splotchy rainbow 'mirror' gradient of neon green, mint, aqua, blue, purple, neon pink, neon orange, and neon yellow, with a few splashes of silver grey.

Neon dyes will bleed in water at any temperature, so please wash and soak your finished yarn and projects separately from other items. Some colour bleed is completely normal, especially with neon dyes.

Inspired by images of Glass/Ghost Catfish, which are small transparent fish that shimmer like rainbows in the light.

You will receive 1 x 100g ( 3.5oz) braid, just like the ones pictured

  • Fibre: 70% 23 mic Merino wool 30% Tussah silk
  • Type: Combed top (Roving)
  • Colourway: Glass Catfish version 2
  • Weight: 100g (3.5oz)

My hand-dyed combed fibres are suitable for beginners and experienced spinners, and are ideal for needle felting and wet felting.

Please note:

After dyeing the wool, and my fibres have cooled, they are rinsed in room-temperature water to remove residual citric acid and to check for colourfastness. Exposure to hot water may cause some colour release (this is normal). To help preserve the colour, always wash finished wool projects gently in room-temperature water using a mild wool wash. Avoid hot water and agitation, unless you want your fibres to felt.
