The colours are mirrored so you can divide the braid in two so your socks match.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe braid is mostly white with saturated patches of neon green, neon yellow, neon orange, neon pink, lavender, blue, aqua, and mint. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eIt contains 60% Corriedale wool, 20% Tussah silk top, and 20% bio nylon. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI wanted to create a sock blend that was soft, silky, and durable. It's had the maximum amount of passes through the blending machine so all the fibres are evenly spread. This blend is non-superwash as I prefer the feel of spinning and knitting with untreated wool, so please take as much care washing you socks as you would spinning them. The Tussah silk adds a silky sheen to the spun yarn and also a little strength, but the durability comes from the bio nylon, which should help keep your socks in good shape for longer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach braid weighs \u003cstrong\u003e150g (5.2oz)\u003c\/strong\u003e which should be plenty for a pair of handspun socks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePlease be aware:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is non-superwash wool, so please don't throw socks made with this fibre in the washing machine, unless you want them to felt! (If you do want them to felt, remember to account for 40% non-feltable fibres)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo hand wash your socks, fill a bowl or sink with cool-room temperature water and add a teeny tiny drop of 'no rinse' wool wash (or detergent for delicates) and swish it around. Then add your knitted socks (or knitted project) and gently hold them under the water until they are totally soaked through. leave them to soak for 30 minutes then very gently wring out the water. \u003cstrong\u003eDon't be alarmed if the water has changed colour - this is normal, especially with neon dyes which always bleed.\u003c\/strong\u003e Repeat the process if you feel like it's needed, otherwise place them in a towel to get as much water out and place them on sock blocks. If you don't have sock blocks, reshape them while they're still damp and place them on a towel to dry.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eExpect some dyes to bleed in the first few washes. Always wash your knitted projects separately as some colours may transfer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is my first try with this blend.
